The United Nations has suspended all aid convoys in Syria after air strikes hit a fleet of Red Crescent trucks killing 12 people. Aleppo director for the Syrian Red Crescent Omar Barakat did not survive the attack.
The convoy was hit yesterday after the week-long ceasefire came to an end. They were attempting to deliver food and blankets to 78,000 people in Uram Al-Kubra, a town west of Aleppo city.
Two aid convoys, that contain enough supplies to feed 185,000 people for a month, will continue to be held at the Turkish border where they have been for over a week.
At least 32 people have been killed in airstrikes in and around Aleppo after the ceasefire ended.
