An Al-Shabaab suicide bomb killed five and injured six in the Somali capital, Mogadishu, yesterday, Standard Digital reported.
The spokesman for the Mayor of Mogadishu confirmed “five civilians, including a mother and her son, have died.”
According to Site Intelligence Group, Al-Shabaab claiming responsibility for the attack. The spokesman for Al-Shabaab said: “One mujahid [fighter] was martyred after he targeted security officials with his car bomb.”
Al-Shabaab, a militant armed group fighting to oust the Somalian government, frequently attacks Mogadishu with suicide attacks.
