The Kuwaiti Ministry of Information said it will investigate a satellite TV channel after it broadcasted the Maghreb athan, call to prayer, an hour ahead of its scheduled time.
Ministry spokesman Mohammad Al-Awash told HuffPost Arabi that the ministry will investigate the Al-Araby TV channel; which is affiliated with the ministry, noting that the results of the investigation will be announced in a few days.
Al-Awash said he expected the error to be technical.
He stressed that the incident will be dealt with in accordance with the regulations and laws.
Al-Araby TV is a state-owned channel which broadcasts cultural programmes and documentaries.
