Yemeni minister of transport, Saleh Al-Jabwani, described on Sunday the Houthi-Saudi dialogue as “unequal”, Al Araby Al Jadeed reported.
Speaking to Al Araby TV, Al-Jabwani announced: “The dialogue between the two sides is futile.”
This came hours after Saudi’s recognition that they had started dialogue with the Houthis through a backchannel, despite the recent increase in tensions.
Saudi Arabia also revealed that this dialogue has achieved progress.
Meanwhile, Al-Jabwani disclosed that the crash of the Saudi fighter jet by the Houthis in Yemen was a “dangerous development”, adding: “This means that the Houthis obtained surface-to-air missiles from Iran.”
