Fires broke out yesterday in Algeria’s northern state of Medea, burning 1,050 fruit trees and eight hectares of a neighbouring forest and agricultural lands.
Local media quoted officials at the civil protection departments as saying that the local authorities had intervened at “15:30 to extinguish the fire.” The officials added that there were no casualties.”
