The British Ambassador to Yemen, Michael Aron, condemned the Houthi attack on a fuel station in Marib, which killed and wounded more than 20 people, and called on the group to stop its escalation in the region.
Aron said in a tweet: “Shocking reports of explosions at a petrol station in Marib leaving dozens of civilians killed & injured.”
“The Houthis must stop their Marib offensive and engage seriously with the UN.”

The British official added: “Agreement on a nationwide ceasefire would prevent such tragic losses & allow humanitarian action.”
The Houthis targeted a gas station in Al-Rawda neighbourhood in Marib governorate with a ballistic missile and a booby-trapped aircraft, killing 17 civilians, including a boy and a girl, and wounding five others.
